Welcome to Fly Away Home. This tranquil 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is nestled in the trees in the enticing town of Manzanita, Oregon. Located a short 5-block walk to the beach and mere steps to the vibrant shops on Laneda Avenue, amazing restaurants, quaint coffee houses, art galleries, natural food stores, a beautiful library, and the Hoffman Center for the Arts, it may be difficult to explore all of the fun attractions nearby!

Inside the home, you will find vaulted ceilings, large windows, and lots of natural light throughout. Cuddle up in front of the woodstove in the living room and visit with loved ones or enjoy a movie night on the flat-screen smart TV with cable. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to prepare each meal. The dining area has a large table and a long, cushioned window seat perfect for reading a book on a rainy day or hanging out with the cooks in the group while they whip up something tasty.

One of the cozy bedrooms is located on the main floor so your party can enjoy some separation at night, if preferred. This room has two single twin beds and a built-in desk that can serve as a workspace/home office if needed.

Just upstairs are two bright, uncluttered Queen bedrooms with generous high ceilings and tall windows. The main bedroom has an ensuite full bath with a walk-in shower. Another full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is just down the hall.

This cedar-shingled home is surrounded greenery, offering a hidden forest feel, lovely birdsong, and a sense of privacy while being close to "downtown." A sliding glass door in the living room leads you to an expansive two-level deck with multiple seating areas. The upper deck contains a propane grill covered by a dramatic glass gable, providing a light-filled space to grill while sheltered from the rain. There is a small table with seating for four near the BBQ and another table with four chairs down three steps to the large lower deck that is uncovered for enjoying when the weather is dry.

If staying in Manzanita, there is no need for a car but if wanting to travel outside of Manzanita, we do have a public bus called "The Wave" which can take you North or South. There is info on The Wave in our rental or you can find a schedule in our office in Manzanita.

Please read the following policies and procedures carefully. You agree to the following terms upon booking, which confirms that you have read the house rules, accept responsibility and conditions, and fully understand its content. If you have any questions, please call our office or message us on the platform you booked on. Thank you! - Changing reservation dates is only permitted up to 45 days before arrival. All date changes are subject to a $125 fee. - If you are within 45 days of arrival, dates cannot be moved. - No refunds for a shortened stay. - If there is a complaint from your party, notice must be given within 24 hours of check-in. Good Person Policy: We kindly ask that you treat this home respectfully. Please be a good neighbor, as you are staying in a town full of long-term residents. Park on our property only unless we instruct you otherwise. Please stay within the car, and the people limit we set in our prior correspondence with you. Arrival and Departure Day: Please follow the check-in and check-out instructions on your pre-arrival that are sent via email 3 days before your stay. Furnishings: Our homes are fully furnished and include all linens, including beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, bar soap, kleenex, foil, saran wrap, salt, and pepper. Also included are essential cookware, utensils, a 12-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, propane for BBQ and firepits, etc. You must provide toiletries, napkins, and paper/picnic goods. (Please do not take bath linens down to the beach.) Check-In/Check-out: Check-in time is 4:00pm. Check-out time is 10:00am. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, we can only grant this on the day of arrival or departure based on the schedule for the house. This will only be available October-May and is subject to availability. Additional fees may apply. Please speak with your reservation specialist for details. Please check out promptly, as we must prepare the house for the next guests. Unless approved beforehand, late check-outs will be subject to a fee of $50 for every 15 minutes past check-out time. Quiet Hours: Manzanita City Ordinance states the quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. If a call is made to MBG for a noise complaint by a neighbor, you may be subject to eviction without a refund if guests do not remedy this asap. Please be courteous to your neighbors that live in the area full-time. Please be mindful of noise outside and around hot tubs, etc. You are vacationing in a residential area, please be mindful. Thank you. Occupant and Car Parking Limits: The city ordinances dictate the occupancy and parking policies to control noise and congestion in our neighborhoods and maintain the livability of our neighborhoods. According to our city/county permits, tents are not allowed, and any trailers, RVs, or campers must not be occupied or used while parked at the homes. The occupancy limit of each home may not be exceeded at any time. This means total occupancy includes non-occupant visitors. If you anticipate visitors dropping by, we ask you to rent a larger home. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate eviction and forfeit of all rental fees. The vehicle limit for this home is 2 and the occupancy limit is 6 persons. Pet Policies: This home does not allow pets. If evidence of pets is found in the house, you will be charged a fee to be determined by MBG based on damages or extra cleaning. Departure Instructions: Please strip all used beds and leave the linens in a pile near the laundry area. We ask that you put all dirty laundry in a pile by the washer and start at least one load before departure. (Please start with the towels). Please start the dishwasher before departing. Remove all garbage to the outside cans provided. Please follow any other departure instructions specific to the home you rented. You will find these on the picture frame located in the house. Smoking: No homes allow smoking, including vaping or marijuana. Smoking is not allowed in or on the property at any time. If any smoking has happened on the property, a claim will be filed, and MBG will determine the cost based on cleaning charges. Minimum Stay: All homes have a two-night minimum with a few exceptions. A six-night minimum on reservations during July and August. Four-night minimum during the last two weeks of June. There is a three-night reservation minimum for Memorial weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Gaps in between stays can be reserved with approval by MBG staff. Date availability can change at any time. Refunds, Rules, and Disclaimers: No refunds will be issued due to weather, off-premise noise caused by construction near the home, or mechanical failure. We rent our vacation homes to adults only over the age of 23. No parties are allowed. Violators will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. All prices on unconfirmed reservations are subject to change without notice. Our homes are individually owned, and amenities are subject to change at any time—no refunds or discounts for appliance malfunction or amenity changes. Liability: This agreement dictates that guests or visitors of guests will not hold Manzanita Beach Getaway or any of the homeowners responsible for things such as Personal injury, death, or loss of property. Transfer: Rental reservations are non-transferable to another party.
