Neighborhood
Manzanita is a small, friendly village 23 miles south of Seaside and 25 miles north of Tillamook. The town is known for its beautiful seven-mile stretch of beach with views of Neahkahnie Mountain, wonderful shops, and friendly people.
Access
Guests have access to the whole house but not to the garage. This is locked off for owner use. If you have bikes to store, these can be put behind the gate on the side of the house.
Space
Captain’s Hideaway is a surprisingly private oasis in the heart of Manzanita and close to everything!
Just one block to town, two blocks to the beach and located at the end of a quiet, dead-end street stocked with all the comforts of home and much, much more. Oozing big-city curb appeal, this brand-new build with state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances and fixtures will impress even the most discerning travelers.
Upon entering the home, you’ll feel as if you have arrived at a space lovingly decorated and appointed just for you with an eclectic mix of whimsical decor and high-end furnishings. The Primary bedroom with a luxurious ensuite bathroom is hard to match, with a slipper soaking tub and spacious walk-in closet. Run a hot, steamy bath, add some bath salts, pour a glass of your favorite beverage, and soak your worries away. A second first-floor bedroom at the front of the house holds a queen-sized bed and a roomy closet for storing belongings. Guests with children will appreciate the blackout shades on the windows for uninterrupted napping and a separate full bathroom right down the hall.
The main level is quiet and well-thought-out, with plenty of room for spending time with loved ones. The extravagant cook’s kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for a hungry group. A few guests can even watch the chef at work from the elegant 2-level island. The sizeable double-door pantry and spacious laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer are just waiting for you to put them to use during your beach getaway. You’ll appreciate the luxurious main living room with inspiring textures and a massive gas fireplace providing warmth and ambiance in a cozy coastal setting.
Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms with west-facing windows providing tons of natural light during the daytime. The smaller bedroom contains a full-size and twin bed; the larger room next door has another plush king-sized bed and a cozy papasan chair for snuggling up and taking in a good book on rainy days. With a full bathroom in the hall and a stunning loft space including a large flat-screen TV, your upstairs guests may only want to come down to eat!
Take a short stroll to Manzanita’s pristine 7-mile beach and catch stunning views of Neahkahnie Mountain while watching the sun go down before retiring to the lap of luxury to tuck in. Spend an afternoon exploring Nehalem Bay State Park collecting tumbled stones and discovering abandoned driftwood forts, then grill up some delicious seafood on the backyard grill. With a large fire table and plenty of seating, you’ll find the backyard space comfortable and set up perfectly for enjoying time with loved ones.

Please read the following policies and procedures carefully. You agree to the following terms upon booking, which confirms that you have read the house rules, accept responsibility and conditions, and fully understand its content. If you have any questions, please call our office or message us on the platform you booked on. Thank you!
- Changing reservation dates is only permitted up to 45 days before arrival. All date changes are subject to a $125 fee.
- If you are within 45 days of arrival, dates cannot be moved.
- No refunds for a shortened stay.
- If there is a complaint from your party, notice must be given within 24 hours of check-in.
Good Person Policy: We kindly ask that you treat this home respectfully. Please be a good neighbor, as you are staying in a town full of long-term residents. Park on our property only unless we instruct you otherwise. Please stay within the car, and the people limit we set in our prior correspondence with you.
Arrival and Departure Day: Please follow the check-in and check-out instructions on your pre-arrival that are sent via email 3 days before your stay.
Furnishings: Our homes are fully furnished and include all linens, including beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, bar soap, kleenex, foil, saran wrap, salt, and pepper. Also included are essential cookware, utensils, a 12-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, propane for BBQ and firepits, etc. You must provide toiletries, napkins, and paper/picnic goods. (Please do not take bath linens down to the beach.)
Check-In/Check-out:
Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Check-out time is 10:00am.
If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, we can only grant this on the day of arrival or departure based on the schedule for the house. This will only be available October-May and is subject to availability. Additional fees may apply. Please speak with your reservation specialist for details. Please check out promptly, as we must prepare the house for the next guests. Unless approved beforehand, late check-outs will be subject to a fee of $50 for every 15 minutes past check-out time.
Quiet Hours: Manzanita City Ordinance states the quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. If a call is made to MBG for a noise complaint by a neighbor, you may be subject to eviction without a refund if guests do not remedy this asap. Please be courteous to your neighbors that live in the area full-time. Please be mindful of noise outside and around hot tubs, etc. You are vacationing in a residential area, please be mindful. Thank you.
Occupant and Car Parking Limits: The city ordinances dictate the occupancy and parking policies to control noise and congestion in our neighborhoods and maintain the livability of our neighborhoods. According to our city/county permits, tents are not allowed, and any trailers, RVs, or campers must not be occupied or used while parked at the homes. The occupancy limit of each home may not be exceeded at any time. This means total occupancy includes non-occupant visitors. If you anticipate visitors dropping by, we ask you to rent a larger home. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate eviction and forfeit of all rental fees. This home has a 4 car limit and a 10 person occupancy limit.
Pet Policies: Limit 1 dog to this home (unless otherwise arranged). We do not allow dog under the age of 2 years old. Dogs must never be left unattended at any time inside or outside the property. No cats or any other animals are permitted. We require dog to be flea treated at least a week before the arrival date unless they are already on a monthly, year-round regimen. The dog is not allowed on furniture or bedding. All dog waste must be picked up before leaving the premises. If extensive cleaning inside or out, digging, or destruction to the outside of the property is required because of the dog, or if animals are found to have been present in a home that does not allow them, additional money will be requested based on an hourly rate determined by MBG.
Departure Instructions: We ask that you put all dirty laundry in a pile by the washer and start at least one load before departure. (Please start with the towels). Please start the dishwasher before departing. Remove all garbage to the outside cans provided. Please follow any other departure instructions specific to the home you rented. You will find these on the picture frame located in the house.
Smoking: No homes allow smoking, including vaping or marijuana. Smoking is not allowed in or on the property at any time. If any smoking has happened on the property, a claim will be filed, and MBG will determine the cost based on cleaning charges.
Minimum Stay: All homes have a two-night minimum with a few exceptions. A six-night minimum on reservations during July and August. Four-night minimum during the last two weeks of June. There is a three-night reservation minimum for Memorial weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Gaps in between stays can be reserved with approval by MBG staff. Date availability can change at any time.
Refunds, Rules, and Disclaimers: No refunds will be issued due to weather, off-premise noise caused by construction near the home, or mechanical failure. We rent our vacation homes to adults only over the age of 23. No parties are allowed. Violators will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. All prices on unconfirmed reservations are subject to change without notice. Our homes are individually owned, and amenities are subject to change at any time—no refunds or discounts for appliance malfunction or amenity changes.
Liability: This agreement dictates that guests or visitors of guests will not hold Manzanita Beach Getaway or any of the homeowners responsible for things such as Personal injury, death, or loss of property.
Transfer: Rental reservations are non-transferable to another party.
