This house overlooks the wetlands on Nehalem rd, on the Neah-Kah-Nie side of Manzanita. This residential area is quiet and close to the beach. We manage Legasea on the Pond and 2 other vacation rentals next to each other. Great for families/groups wanting separate housing.

Space
Legasea on the Pond is the perfect retreat for two couples or a family with children. This home offers a reverse floor plan with the main living area and primary bedroom on the upper level and a large second bedroom on the lower entry level. The open floor plan, with wood floors throughout the kitchen, living, and dining area, creates a rich, warm atmosphere for enjoying time with loved ones in a beautiful space. The living room has the feel of a small lodge with large windows that face west, allowing in lots of natural light. Cozy into the plush leather furnishings and enjoy a fire in the floor-to-ceiling, river-rock, wood-burning fireplace while watching a beautiful Oregon coast sunset.
If you need to work while on vacation or post all your beautiful photos, just connect to the high-speed WIFI network. The fully equipped kitchen features a Jenn-air cooktop stove, plenty of cupboard space, a breakfast bar for two, and opens to the dining area that seats four. Step out the sliding glass doors to the extensive wrap-around deck overlooking the wetlands and beaver pond, or relax and enjoy a meal with the family on the quiet deck with the wetlands for a backdrop.
The beautiful primary bedroom, just down the hall from the living area, features a king-size bed, wall-mounted TV, and ample windows, allowing more natural lighting. There is also access to the vast wrap-around deck from this room and a private door to the hall bath with a tub and shower.
This level has a beautiful spacious deck that wraps the west side of the house. Plenty of seating and an outdoor table to enjoy meals on. Also, enjoy a fire in the gas fire pit or a family barbecue while watching the local wildlife and beautiful sunsets.
The lower level features a beautiful foyer with unique exposed aggregate flooring and a spacious family room/bedroom that sleeps four comfortably. Guests can enjoy a game or favorite movie on the 50" smart TV. This room features a queen bed on one end and a full-size bed. You also have beautiful ground floor views of the wetlands and can access the large backyard patio from the sliding glass door.
Hike the many trails of Neahkahnie Mountain or walk the seven miles of pristine beach during your stay at the Legasea on the Pond. This home is a remarkable beach retreat and an excellent place to create lasting vacation memories!

If staying in Manzanita, there is no need for a car but if wanting to travel outside of Manzanita, we do have a public bus called "The Wave" which can take you North or South. There is info on The Wave in our rental or you can find a schedule in our office in Manzanita.

Please read the following policies and procedures carefully. You agree to the following terms upon booking, which confirms that you have read the house rules, accept responsibility and conditions, and fully understand its content. If you have any questions, please call our office or message us on the platform you booked on. Thank you!
- Changing reservation dates is only permitted up to 45 days before arrival. All date changes are subject to a $125 fee.
- If you are within 45 days of arrival, dates cannot be moved.
- No refunds for a shortened stay.
- If there is a complaint from your party, notice must be given within 24 hours of check-in.
Good Person Policy: We kindly ask that you treat this home respectfully. Please be a good neighbor, as you are staying in a town full of long-term residents. Park on our property only unless we instruct you otherwise. Please stay within the car, and the people limit we set in our prior correspondence with you.
Arrival and Departure Day: Please follow the check-in and check-out instructions on your pre-arrival that are sent via email 3 days before your stay.
Furnishings: Our homes are fully furnished and include all linens, including beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, bar soap, kleenex, foil, saran wrap, salt, and pepper. Also included are essential cookware, utensils, a 12-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, propane for BBQ and firepits, etc. You must provide toiletries, napkins, and paper/picnic goods. (Please do not take bath linens down to the beach.)
Check-In/Check-out:
Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Check-out time is 10:00am.
If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, we can only grant this on the day of arrival or departure based on the schedule for the house. This will only be available October-May and is subject to availability. Additional fees may apply. Please speak with your reservation specialist for details. Please check out promptly, as we must prepare the house for the next guests. Unless approved beforehand, late check-outs will be subject to a fee of $50 for every 15 minutes past check-out time.
Quiet Hours: Manzanita City Ordinance states the quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. If a call is made to MBG for a noise complaint by a neighbor, you may be subject to eviction without a refund if guests do not remedy this asap. Please be courteous to your neighbors that live in the area full-time. Please be mindful of noise outside and around hot tubs, etc. You are vacationing in a residential area, please be mindful. Thank you.
Occupant and Car Parking Limits: The city ordinances dictate the occupancy and parking policies to control noise and congestion in our neighborhoods and maintain the livability of our neighborhoods. According to our city/county permits, tents are not allowed, and any trailers, RVs, or campers must not be occupied or used while parked at the homes. The occupancy limit of each home may not be exceeded at any time. This means total occupancy includes non-occupant visitors. If you anticipate visitors dropping by, we ask you to rent a larger home. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate eviction and forfeit of all rental fees. This home has a 3 car limit and a 6 person occupancy limit.
Pet Policies: Limit 1 dog to this home (unless otherwise arranged). We do not allow dog under the age of 2 years old. No cats or any other animals are permitted. We require dog to be flea treated at least a week before the arrival date unless they are already on a monthly, year-round regimen. The dog is not allowed on furniture or bedding. All dog waste must be picked up before leaving the premises. If extensive cleaning inside or out, digging, or destruction to the outside of the property is required because of the dog, or if animals are found to have been present in a home that does not allow them, additional money will be requested based on an hourly rate determined by MBG.
Departure Instructions: We ask that you put all dirty laundry in a pile by the washer and start at least one load before departure. (Please start with the towels). Please start the dishwasher before departing. Remove all garbage to the outside cans provided. Please follow any other departure instructions specific to the home you rented. You will find these on the picture frame located in the house.
Smoking: No homes allow smoking, including vaping or marijuana. Smoking is not allowed in or on the property at any time. If any smoking has happened on the property, a claim will be filed, and MBG will determine the cost based on cleaning charges.
Minimum Stay: All homes have a two-night minimum with a few exceptions. A six-night minimum on reservations during July and August. Four-night minimum during the last two weeks of June. There is a three-night reservation minimum for Memorial weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Gaps in between stays can be reserved with approval by MBG staff. Date availability can change at any time.
Refunds, Rules, and Disclaimers: No refunds will be issued due to weather, off-premise noise caused by construction near the home, or mechanical failure. We rent our vacation homes to adults only over the age of 23. No parties are allowed. Violators will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. All prices on unconfirmed reservations are subject to change without notice. Our homes are individually owned, and amenities are subject to change at any time—no refunds or discounts for appliance malfunction or amenity changes.
Liability: This agreement dictates that guests or visitors of guests will not hold Manzanita Beach Getaway or any of the homeowners responsible for things such as Personal injury, death, or loss of property.
Transfer: Rental reservations are non-transferable to another party.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The communication with Manzanita Beach Group was excellent. Super friendly and thoughtful. The house was as described. Extremely clean, comfortable, quiet, and had every amenity we could possibly need! They even had a little basket of necessities for our dog. The walk to the beach was fast and easy… and trip into town a breeze! The stairs were mentioned in previous reviews and we did have issues with them. They are no joke… our dog did not like the aggregate concrete at all. He is almost 40 pounds and does not like being picked up so getting him up and down was a challenge, but I don’t count that as a negative to the property. We made it work. Lovely home for sure!
