Our Favorite Things to Do in the Fall on the Oregon Coast

Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

If you’re visiting in October, you’re in luck! The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is open for five weekends in October from Dusk to 10pm (the pumpkin patch is open noon to 5pm). Make it a day and pick the perfect pumpkin to carve or decorate with, ride on the free hay rides, wander through the corn maze, and take as many photos with the photo backdrops! Pumpkin prices vary and are prized per size and the corn maze is $7/person. The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is located at 9455 Kilchis River Road, Tillamook OR 97141.

Visit the Tillamook Creamery 

If there’s one thing that we recommend doing on your Manzanita vacation, it’s touring the Tillamook Creamery! Take a self-guided tour and head to the farm exhibit where you’ll learn how the cows are cared for and how the cows are milked. Then stop by the viewing gallery, where you can see the behind-the-scenes of the cheese factory. After you’ve worked up an appetite exploring, finish off at the Dining Hall and Shop, where you can try Tillamook classics like the Triple Cheese Mac and Fried Cheddar Cheese Curds. But leave some room for dessert! Pick up a scoop or two of a variety of ice cream choices like some yummy Caramel Butter Pecan or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream.

Visit the Blue Heron French Cheese Company in Tillamook

Cheese lovers and wine lovers unite! The Blue Heron French Cheese Company is another Oregon Coast staple. Visit Blue Heron and indulge in Blue Heron’s gourmet foods and Oregon’s finest wines. Kids will enjoy the petting farm which includes animals like goats and sheep. This is also the perfect place to grab items for a picnic on the beach! The Blue Heron Deli is filled with fresh baked bread, deli meat, cheese, and homemade soups and salads.

Explore at Ecola State Park

Head to Ecola State Park for magnificent views! Ecola State Park makes up 9 miles of coastline with so many stunning sights along the way.
