Chicken by the Sea is a beautiful, private home on the south side of Manzanita, just a block and a half away from the beach! This stunning newly constructed rental offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience.
Featuring 3 spacious bedrooms and 2.5 modern bathrooms, the home is thoughtfully designed with open-concept living areas, sleek finishes, and plenty of natural light. Pet lovers rejoice – two dogs under 50 pounds are welcome here, so your furry friend can enjoy the space just as much as you do!
The downstairs area provides an open concept living and dining room with a 1/2 bath. The members of your flock can enjoy spreading their wings in the comfortable living room, squawking at each other over a rousing game of ping pong in the garage, or clucking around the kitchen while making a meal with lovely stainless steel appliances and a gas range. The spacious garage can also easily store your bikes.
The backyard provides an excellent space for free-range activities like grilling on the gas BBQ or basking in the sun in the nice sitting area.
Once you are ready to come home to roost, head upstairs to the three spacious bedrooms and two baths. The bedroom at the top of the stairs contains a queen bed, providing a nice private area for guests. Next door is the shared bathroom with a tub/shower. Down the hall is the larger bedroom, perfect for your little ones, with a full-sized bed and twin bunk beds. At the end of the hall is the primary that features a plush king bed with an ensuite full bath and a nice walk-in closet. Laundry is also conveniently located on this floor.

If staying in Manzanita, there is no need for a car but if wanting to travel outside of Manzanita, we do have a public bus called "The Wave" which can take you North or South. There is info on The Wave in our rental or you can find a schedule in our office in Manzanita.

Please read the following policies and procedures carefully. You agree to the following terms upon booking, which confirms that you have read the house rules, accept responsibility and conditions, and fully understand its content. If you have any questions, please call our office or message us on the platform you booked on. Thank you!
- Changing reservation dates is only permitted up to 45 days before arrival. All date changes are subject to a $125 fee.
- If you are within 45 days of arrival, dates cannot be moved.
- No refunds for a shortened stay.
- If there is a complaint from your party, notice must be given within 24 hours of check-in.
Good Person Policy: We kindly ask that you treat this home respectfully. Please be a good neighbor, as you are staying in a town full of long-term residents. Park on our property only unless we instruct you otherwise. Please stay within the car, and the people limit we set in our prior correspondence with you.
Arrival and Departure Day: Please follow the check-in and check-out instructions on your pre-arrival that are sent via email 3 days before your stay.
Furnishings: Our homes are fully furnished and include all linens, including beach towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, bar soap, kleenex, foil, saran wrap, salt, and pepper. Also included are essential cookware, utensils, a 12-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, propane for BBQ and firepits, etc. You must provide toiletries, napkins, and paper/picnic goods. (Please do not take bath linens down to the beach.)
Check-In/Check-out:
Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Check-out time is 10:00am.
If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, we can only grant this on the day of arrival or departure based on the schedule for the house. This will only be available October-May and is subject to availability. Additional fees may apply. Please speak with your reservation specialist for details. Please check out promptly, as we must prepare the house for the next guests. Unless approved beforehand, late check-outs will be subject to a fee of $50 for every 15 minutes past check-out time.
Quiet Hours: Manzanita City Ordinance states the quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. If a call is made to MBG for a noise complaint by a neighbor, you may be subject to eviction without a refund if guests do not remedy this asap. Please be courteous to your neighbors that live in the area full-time. Please be mindful of noise outside and around hot tubs, etc. You are vacationing in a residential area, please be mindful. Thank you.
Occupant and Car Parking Limits: The city ordinances dictate the occupancy and parking policies to control noise and congestion in our neighborhoods and maintain the livability of our neighborhoods. According to our city/county permits, tents are not allowed, and any trailers, RVs, or campers must not be occupied or used while parked at the homes. The occupancy limit of each home may not be exceeded at any time. This means total occupancy includes non-occupant visitors. If you anticipate visitors dropping by, we ask you to rent a larger home. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate eviction and forfeit of all rental fees. The vehicle limit for this home is 4 and the maximum occupancy is 8 including children (Max 6 adults).
Pet Policies: Limit 2 dogs to this home (unless otherwise arranged). We do not allow dogs under the age of 2 years old. No cats or any other animals are permitted. We require dogs to be flea treated at least a week before the arrival date unless they are already on a monthly, year-round regimen. The dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding. All dog waste must be picked up before leaving the premises. If extensive cleaning inside or out, digging, or destruction to the outside of the property is required because of the dog, or if animals are found to have been present in a home that does not allow them, additional money will be requested based on an hourly rate determined by MBG.
Departure Instructions: We ask that you put all dirty laundry in a pile by the washer and start at least one load before departure. (Please start with the towels). Please start the dishwasher before departing. Remove all garbage to the outside cans provided. Please follow any other departure instructions specific to the home you rented. You will find these on the picture frame located in the house.
Smoking: No homes allow smoking, including vaping or marijuana. Smoking is not allowed in or on the property at any time. If any smoking has happened on the property, a claim will be filed, and MBG will determine the cost based on cleaning charges.
Minimum Stay: All homes have a two-night minimum with a few exceptions. A six-night minimum on reservations during July and August. Four-night minimum during the last two weeks of June. There is a three-night reservation minimum for Memorial weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Gaps in between stays can be reserved with approval by MBG staff. Date availability can change at any time.
Refunds, Rules, and Disclaimers: No refunds will be issued due to weather, off-premise noise caused by construction near the home, or mechanical failure. We rent our vacation homes to adults only over the age of 23. No parties are allowed. Violators will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. All prices on unconfirmed reservations are subject to change without notice. Our homes are individually owned, and amenities are subject to change at any time—no refunds or discounts for appliance malfunction or amenity changes.
Liability: This agreement dictates that guests or visitors of guests will not hold Manzanita Beach Getaway or any of the homeowners responsible for things such as Personal injury, death, or loss of property.
Transfer: Rental reservations are non-transferable to another party.

What an amazing private location

What an amazing private location. The house is spotless and has all the basic needs supplied. They have a great assortment of books and games which was great for the rainy days. We walked to the beach everyday maybe took 5 minutes. The beds, sheets and towels were super nice. The appliances were all new. I could go in and on. We will be back. Thank you highly recommend.
