Manzanita Cedar House is tucked away on a quiet street less than two blocks to downtown Manzanita. This charming vacation rental offers plenty of peace and quiet while sitting just under a half mile walk to the beach.The home itself is sunny and welcoming with hardwood floors, wood-burning fireplace, and an open floor plan for easy socializing. Take in a movie on the 47" Flat screen TV with Roku streaming and a DVD player or grab one of the many board games for some more interactive entertainment.
The large kitchen will be well used by the cooks in the family and has all the usual appliances including, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, etc. There are plenty of pots and pans, dishes, and utensils to serve a group of hungry hikers or beachcombers. Bar stools line the built-in bar along the wall, while the large wood dining table sits close by and seats eight.
There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom with tub/shower and on the main level. One bedroom is a queen and the other has two twin beds. This room is best for kids with a TV, DVD player and a fun doll house.
Upstairs, the spacious king bedroom has light filled windows and vaulted ceilings. There is a large full bathroom close by with tub and shower. The loft area has a rocking chair and bookcase with a variety of books. There is a queen size futon in the loft as well for additional sleeping. It's a great place to get away from it all and enjoy some peaceful reading.
This home's location is ideal for families with small children, adults and the elderly. Manzanita is a great place for shopping, dining or renting bikes to ride on the beach. The awe-inspiring hiking trails of Oswald West State Park are less than five miles to the north, with Cannon Beach's galleries and boutiques just ten miles further. The Cedar House is excellent for a big-little family or a small group thatjust needs a cozy home close to the Coast. We loved how roomy and neat the house was. It was great going for small trips and being able to come back to a comfy house to prepare a meal and relax. There was plenty of space for our labradoodle to roam as well. We had everything we needed.

I emailed or called the office and quickly was called back. We talked through the options and they held a place that fit our timing for a day as we booked the plane ticket and rental cars surrounding that vacation.

We walked into a clean, bright and airy house that perfectly met the needs of our family of 4. For the time we were there we parked our car and easily walked to the variety of restaurants and the grocery store and of course. The beautiful, amazingly deep sandy beach where the kids burned off the energy twice a day. We got take out multiple times and grilled burgers one night as well. All of this comes down to a simple yes/no question. Would you stay there again? Absolutely yes.

Perfect location! Quiet street, close to town and we could walk EVERYWHERE. Even close enough to catch the Oregon Coast trail for a hike - and no driving! Beds were very comfy, kitchen was well stocked. Lots of room to relax and play games with family. Will definitely stay again!

We have stayed at this house twice before and loved it just as much this time. It was spotless, and the rental company was very accommodating in ensuring no-one was in the house for 24 hours before we checked in. The house is walking distance from the beach, and my kid loved the piano and home and didn't want to leave. We will be back!

We loved the Cedar House. Our teens stayed in the two downstairs bedrooms and we were upstairs. The family space was spacious and light filled. The bathrooms were huge! We recommend that you bring puzzles as there's a perfect counter with chairs (and even an extra table in the dining room). Very cozy and clean! The location was great- close to beach and town and lots of friendly neighbors.

From Airbnb: We had a great 4 day break at the Manzanita Cedar House. The space was perfect for us, a few college age kids and our dog. The wi-fi worked great for working "from home" and It was nice having the upstairs king bedroom, bath and landing area to ourselves while the young adults could have their space downstairs. All of our needs were met and the local property management staff were easy to work with and provided good information. The house was an easy one block walk to the main street for the grocery store and coffee, and just a 5-ish minutes to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
